Surveillance camera captured the moment suspects pulled up on a vehicle and shot dead rapper Pacho El Antifeka on Thursday.

The 42-year-old was sitting in his 2008 Infinity EX35 after attending an appointment at a mental health clinic located at Plaza Tropical shopping center in the city of Bayamón when at least two men open fire.

Two bystanders can be seen running inside a business before the suspects sped away.

Authorities said Friday the killing may have been produced by a drug turf war.

No arrests had been reported as of Friday.

Puerto Rico Police Lieutenant colonel Roberto Rivera told WKAQ radio that Pacho El Antifeka's killers were already tracking his moments.

'They were stalking him yesterday (Wednesday) until they say him,' he said. 'They allowed him to enter the place first. He was seen. Once he returned to the vehicle, there they opened fire on him and riddled him inside the vehicle.'

In March, Pacho El Antifeka was arrested following a FBI raid at a public housing project home he was living at after police recovered two guns belonging to his wife. He was released on bail and had to wear an ankle monitor.

In March 2015, he was apprehended for the unlawful possession of a firearm that had been altered to fire automatically after police saw him dumping the weapon in front of a business in Cataño.

Under federal law, he was not allowed to be around guns after police arrested him.

He pleaded guilty in January 2016. A federal prosecutor sought a five year sentence although guidelines called for two to two years and a half.

However, the judge sentenced him to eight years and threw years of supervised release after looking into the lyrics of his music and indicating that he was 'inciting violence.'

Pacho El Antifeka recognized his error during the sentencing, but told the judge that he was only doing so to protect himself from criminals.

'You say that this is a third world country. As an artist, you have money and jewelry and they (criminals) know where you are going to sing and anyone can come and take away yours,' he said. 'Your honor, regarding my music, I used it like many others, as a springboard to be someone in urban music, to grow and develop and I wanted to grow as an artist and I was on the right track until this happened to me.'

The sentenced was appealed before a federal district court in Boston then reduced to three years in prison and three years of supervised release.

The musician, who also recorded under Pacho Alqaeda, was once part of the duo Pacho & Cirilo and was signed to Duars Entertainment.

He was featured in hits such as 'Triste' with Nicky Jam; 'No Te Veo' with Jay Wheeler and Wisin y Yandel; and 'Tu No Eras Asi' with Rauw Alejandro.

Daddy Yankee lamented the death of his friend, whom he thanked for his loyal friendship. In 2018, they worked together on the song, 'Como Soy', which also featured Bad Bunny.

'I am not the one to judge anyone's personal life but I can judge the way people treat me; based on that judgment, I can choose my friends,' he wrote on Instagram, along side a picture of him and Bad Bunny.

'I am aware that you have always treated me with respect, appreciation, honesty, sincerity and loyalty. For me those qualities are worth a lot because they are not easily found in these times.'
