The Romans were famous for having started assigning names to roads. Today, historic figures in Italian history are memorialised on every corner.

Few Italian streets are named after women, however, and some are calling for an end to this invisibility.

A group of schoolteachers have decided to act and have started a Facebook campaign that has quickly spread across Italy, and abroad.
