Former college football icon Tim Tebow's sex life - or lack thereof it - was the subject of serious locker-room intrigue during his days with Florida Gators.

Tebow enjoyed a stellar career with the Gators, sweeping up a host of accolades throughout his four-year stint in Florida, including the Heisman Trophy in 2007.

Yet not only was the quarterback a dedicated athlete on the field, he also maintained his faith off it as a devout Christian.

In the upcoming Netflix docu-series 'Untold: Swamp Kings' - which looks back at the 2000s-era Florida Gators team - Tebow's former teammates recall the fascination surrounding his sex life after he revealed he was in fact a virgin.

Speaking in the docu-series, former Gators linebacker Brandon Spikes said that he would often test Tebow to confirm if he was serious about saving himself for marriage by showing him naked photos of women.

Former teammate Brandon Spikes recalled testing him on his claim to be a virgin by showing him photos of naked women

'I just wanted to see if he was real,' said Spikes, who won two national championships with Tebow in the 2006 and 2008 seasons. 'So I would like, you know, maybe have a picture, a nude picture on my phone or something and show it to him just to see how he would react.

'He was like, "Come on man! Like, you really get a man uncomfortable!" And I was like, "Oh, he’s serious."'

Linebacker Ryan Stamper, another member of both title winning teams, explained how Tebow's revelation generated plenty of interest from the outside after being bombarded with questions about it.

'I was answering questions constantly about Tebow: "Hey, like Is he really a virgin?" or "Is he really that perfect?" or "Does he really just eat and sleep football?"' Stamper said. 'I was like "Yeah, that’s who he is."'

Tebow opened up on his decision to remain a virgin until marriage after unapologetically expressing his faith prior to the 2009 season with Florida.

When asked by a reporter if the rumors were true, Tebow laughed and said: 'Yes, I am.'

He eventually married Miss Universe 2017 and South African model Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters in 2020, whom he remains with today.

Tebow, who former teammates described as the perfect role model on and off the pitch, failed to live up to the promise of his college years after making the transition to NFL in 2010.

After brief stints with Denver Broncos and New York Jets, the Philippines-born star was only used in the offseason or as a practice squad member by New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars before being released by the latter in 2021.

He has also tried his hand in professional baseball in recent years, signing a minor league baseball contract with the New York Mets in 2016 and playing outfield for the organization for five years.
